At House of Honey, every retreat is about more than what happens in the silks. While the studio is a sanctuary for movement and connection, just beyond our doors lies the Algarve’s sparkling coastline, golden beaches, and rugged cliffs — a playground for adventure and exploration. For those who wish to balance their practice with the magic of the outdoors, here are some of the most unforgettable excursions in Lagos, Portugal.

Sailing in the Algarve
Step aboard and let the wind carry you across turquoise waters. Sailing trips from Lagos offer a chance to see the coast from a whole new perspective — hidden caves, dramatic cliffs, and endless horizons that invite you to simply breathe and be. If you like to swim most of our boat tours include SUP boards and other fun water toys (like one that you can use to dive and swim with a powered motor!)
Dolphin Watching Tours
The Algarve is home to pods of wild dolphins, and boat tours from Lagos provide a heart-opening chance to watch them swim and play in their natural habitat. There is something timeless and humbling about seeing these creatures leap beside the boat.

Kayaking the Sea Caves
Paddle into another world as you glide into the sea caves of Ponta da Piedade. Kayaking tours here are a favorite, weaving through arches and grottos where sunlight and sea meet in shimmering reflections.

Mountain Biking Trails
For those who prefer land to sea, the hills and cliffs around Lagos are crisscrossed with trails perfect for mountain biking. Ride through pine forests, along rugged paths, and into charming villages — each turn offering a new glimpse of Algarve life.

Surfing the Waves
Just minutes from Lagos, the beaches are alive with the rhythm of the Atlantic. Whether you are a beginner learning your first pop-up or an experienced surfer chasing bigger waves, local surf schools provide equipment, lessons, and plenty of encouragement.

Wine Tasting Experiences
The Algarve is also a region of vineyards. A wine tasting excursion is a slower adventure — savoring local varieties, exploring vineyards under the sun, and discovering the flavors that reflect this land.

Horseback Riding on the Beach
Few experiences feel as timeless as horseback riding at the water’s edge. Guided tours take you along sandy beaches and coastal trails, where you can breathe deeply, connect with your horse, and feel the rhythm of hooves meeting the shore.

Hiking Coastal Trails
From clifftop walks with panoramic views to quiet countryside paths, Lagos is a hiker’s paradise. Trails range from gentle strolls to longer adventures, each one offering a way to slow down and connect with nature’s beauty.

Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) Tours
SUP tours bring together balance, focus, and play. Paddle quietly along the coast, explore sea caves, or simply drift on calm waters, letting the ocean hold you. It’s meditation in motion, wrapped in sunshine and salt air.

Rock Climbing
Nothing beats the adrenaline rush of making your way up the face of a sheer cliff above crysal clear waters! This is one wild adventure that aerialists tend to love!
Jeep Tours
These tours are the perfect way to see some of the Algarve's scenic nature. Along the way you'll visit some ruins and see hidden gems along the backroads. Perfect way to spend the day if it happens to be too cloudy for the beach (which isn't often).
Whether you crave adventure, relaxation, or a little of both, these excursions in Lagos add another layer of wonder to your retreat. Each experience complements the practice inside the studio, inviting you to explore balance, joy, and connection in the world beyond the silks.
